Commission by Beca Carter Hollings & Ferner Limited (BCHF) of New Zealand to issue the Codes Of Environmental Practice Manuals to the World Bank representatives and the PWD for the Road Upgrading Projects in Fiji. ECL organised a series of design seminars for and on behalf of BCHF. ECL carried out research into the appropriate plants that should be used in the rehabilitation of cut batters and formed slopes of road formations.

Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) of the proposed concrete repair work to be carried out on the Kings Wharf. The IEE covered the effects that the concrete repair work would have on the environment and any mitigating factors that could be introduced to reduce the impact that the concrete repair work would have on the environment/sea. The report was submitted by the Client to the environmental unit of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
